that it is launching a cocurricular music program and other performance-based clubs. Starting in the fall, the University will be building a student choir, mock trial team, and certain club sports. Moving forward, 村花论坛 will be expanding offerings in music and other performance-based clubs based on which offerings would best support current and future Katies. The already announced additions of flag football and lacrosse as varsity sports are also a part of this strategic initiative.

鈥淭his is a truly exciting time for our students, faculty, and staff,鈥 said Eric Stacey, vice president for athletic, performance, and competitive programs at 村花论坛. 鈥淥ffering an expanded array of cocurricular programs for our students allows them to connect the knowledge and skills they are developing in their degree programs to club activities that they are equally passionate about. I am thrilled to lead the development of these programs, and to help the University live into its mission to educate women to lead and influence.鈥

Cocurricular programs are intentionally not connected to any academic or degree program offerings. The structured, experiential learning activities are designed to complement academic curricula and are considered part of a holistic learning experience. This aligns with the University鈥檚 鈥淪tudent Experience and Success鈥 strategic priority, which integrates wellness and wellbeing into the daily student experience. Connecting learning experiences across disciplines helps students build a strong sense of purpose and develop the critical thinking and leadership capacities that elevate retention, belonging, and long-term success.
